Great Couple........

I love shooting weddings. Especially when they are as fun and inviting as this one. I honestly felt I was a part of the wedding, an invited guest. This couple has a wonderful family and it was a beautiful day, I am honored to have spent it with them.

Happy Romance Month

One of the loves in my life:

I keep telling myself that life will slow down, I will start to have more time to blog, but alas with a 2 1/2 year old and a 9 month old, it never slows down. I have also been very busy with photos and edits and such. I have started shooting Gymnastics with a wonderful friend Kelly Reed of Kelly Reed Photography. It has been an amazing experience to watch and learn from her. I am also skating with our local roller derby team, Central Coast Roller Derby. My skater name is Smuckers because with a name like Smuckers I have to be good. I truly love skating and though I am a very modest person I can confidentaly say I am good at it. Here are a few shots from a calendar I am doing for some of our rookie squad:

Ugh, 2008 already

I am blown away by the end of 2007. It was a whirlwind and 2008 is already shaping up to be the same. My very first gallery show opens tomorrow and I am launching my new website. I am so nervous. Below are some of the pictures which will be in it. I hope this year I am better able to keep my blog updated.

Time flies.......

Wow, I cant believe how fast this year has gone. It is almost September. Which means by the end next month Christmas stuff will be in stores. But on the flip side, it will be my first Christmas as a "professional photographer" and am already getting alot of inquiries, I can't wait to take portraits for the season.

Ugh, so I have tried to update my blog for a couple of days now to no avail. Not sure if it has been Blogspot or my internet or my toddler......anyway, here we go again. I have been doing Senior portraits. They are so much fun to work with. Very bright and happy, full of hope. Very refreshing. I hope I am able to capture a bit of that in my portraits.

This is why I love what I do. Families like this. They make my "job" fun. This little boy was such a ray of light and so happy. I hope they enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Maybe it is because I have 2 boys now but I really enjoyed this shoot of two brothers, Wyatt and Wade. They are pretty much the same age as my two so it was fun to watch them interact and compare.
